The Miracle of Jesus

This project began 14 years ago, when the story and illustrations seemed to flow into my mind. I drew the original sketches in my sketchbook, but because of personal challenges, I eventually laid the project aside.

I had always wanted to tell a story about Jesus healing. I had experienced His healing in my own life through some very difficult physical, emotional, and spiritual experiences. The story of Jesus healing a little boy in Jerusalem became a reflection of what His healing power had meant to me personally.

Years later, I met Wendy. We were doing art together one day when she asked if I had ever thought about creating a children’s book. I told her about the story I had begun years before, and that’s where our story together began.

We decided to bring The Miracle of Jesus to life together. We sat side by side, drawing with digital pens on digital art tablets and learning a new program at the same time, which was challenging and fun! Together, we worked on the illustrations and design that eventually became the finished book.

Our purpose in writing and illustrating The Miracle of Jesus is simple: to strengthen faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ. We believe there has never been a greater need for us, our children, and our grandchildren to understand His love and power.

It would have been incredible to live when Jesus walked the earth and witness His miracles firsthand. But the beautiful truth is that Jesus still heals today.

Sometimes His healing is physical. Sometimes He heals emotional wounds, heartache, or spiritual pain. Healing does not always come instantly or in the way we expect. We trust in the Lord’s timing as we turn to Him with faith and humility.

Jesus Christ healed then. He still heals today. And we look forward with faith to the day He will come again.
